Stranger Things has been one of the biggest hits for Netflix since the streaming service began producing original content. And now the company is rewarding the show’s actors with major pay raises.
The Hollywood Reporter says the stars of Stranger Things will be getting major pay raises ahead of the show’s third season. Winona Ryder (Joyce) and David Harbour (Jim Hopper) are considered the “A” tier stars of the show and will make $350,000 per episode. Meanwhile the main children actors on the show – Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) and Noah Schnapp (Will) – will each make $250,000 per episode, and the teenage actors Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan) and Joe Keery (Steve) will each make $150,000 per episode.
For the child actors on the show, that’s a 12 times increase on their salaries for the previous two seasons. So they’re going to be raking in a lot of dough this year!
The only actor whose pay is not known is Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven on the show and is arguably the biggest breakout from it. Brown is believed to be making more than the $250,000 per episode that the other actors her age on the show are making, and may be close or at the $350,000 mark with Ryder and Harbour.
But how much money is the giant alien making next season? That’s what we want to know!
