Next year Disney is opening a new Star Wars themed park in Los Angeles, and fans can’t wait to check it out. Well now we have our first look at what it will look like.
Disney released a video showing footage captured by a drone of the Star Wars theme park construction site. Obviously, it’s still under construction with plenty of work to go, so you can’t really tell what everything’s going to be. But you do get a sense of the scale and size of the park. Take a look:
Disney also released a blog post about the park with more information. The park will be called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and will be set up as the planet Batuu, a “remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge that was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes.” According to the Disney, guests will be able to take controls of the Millennium Falcon on a secret mission and another adventure where they’ll take part in a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
The video above was made for the 2018 Annual Meeting of Disney Shareholders, and is expected to be the most detailed and immersive park ever created for Disneyland.
Just another reason 2019 can’t come soon enough!
