SNL Releases Will Ferrell’s Original Audition Tape for the Show

Today, we all know Will Ferrell as one of the greatest comic actors of all time. But was he always as funny as he is now?

Ferrell hosted Saturday Night Live on Saturday (duh!), his fourth time hosting the show since he left the cast in 2002. To help promote the show, SNL decided to release the video of Ferrell’s original audition. Fans of Ferrell’s SNL stint will recognize his Harry Caray impersonation as well as his character “Shed Guy.” He also does a mean Ted Kennedy. Take a look at the video:

Of course, Ferrell went on to become one of the most beloved cast members in SNL history, and was part of some of the show’s most memorable sketches ever.

But now he’s one of the biggest movie stars in the world, so instead of entertaining us every single weekend, we only get one or two films a year to appreciate his genius.
