On Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown’s character Eleven is the subject of much of the show’s mystery. But in her next role, Brown will be solving mysteries instead of starting them.
It was announced today that Brown will star in a feature film series called Enola Holmes. The movies will be based off a series of novels written by Nancy Springer that explore the adventures of Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister. The first novel in the series, The Case of the Missing Marquess, was first published in 2006 and there have been six books in total. The story features both Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, as well as other characters, settings and other aspects from the established Sherlock Holmes canon.
Brown will obviously be playing Enola Holmes in the movies, and she will also be producing the films as well. Her Stranger Things co-star Finn Wolfhard also starred in a major movie franchise in 2017 playing Richie Tozier in the hugely popular It. And another co-star, David Harbour, is preparing to play “Hellboy” in a revival of the popular comic and movie series.
The creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer brothers, have previously said the show would likely last only four seasons. So soon perhaps everyone on the show will be starring in major motion pictures, and we’ll forget all about their adventures in the Upside Down.
Just kidding, we’ll never forget anything about Stranger Things!
