Get Out was one of the most talked about movies of 2017, and everyone is wondering what writer-director Jordan Peele would choose to follow it up. Apparently, he’s decided to team up with a familiar partner.
Peele will reunite with Keegan-Michael Key in a Netflix stop-motion movie called Wendell and Wild. The movie will be directed by Henry Selick, the stop-motion animation visionary behind Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline.
Key and Peele starred in the popular Key and Peele comedy series on Comedy Central and also starred in the comedy Keanu together. In this new movie, they’ll voice demon brothers who are trying to figure out a plan to escape Hell. Peele, who just won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Get Out, will also help Selick with the movie’s script.
So unfortunately we won’t get to see Key and Peele on the big screen reunited, but hopefully the duo’s chemistry will still resonate in animated form.
