Ever since Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul went on-air, fans have asked whether any characters from the original show will return. And it appears we may have an answer.
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan revealed that he’s open to bringing back Jesse Pinkman, Walter White’s sidekick played by Aaron Paul, back on the new spinoff. Gilligan was discussing his feelings about the character in an interview, where he revealed he had a “soft spot” for him and said he could see him coming back.
“You never know if that character may get revisited in the future…Anything’s possible.”
So far Better Call Saul has seen the return of Mike Ehrmantraut and Gus Fring to the show. It would be a little weird if Jesse were to appear in the show, considering he supposedly didn’t meet any of the characters until Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul is set before then.
However, there are also scenes in Better Call Saul showing what happened to Saul Goodman a.k.a. Jimmy McGill after the events of Breaking Bad. Is it possible he gets tracked down by Jesse, who wants some closure for the events of the original show? Will one of them have to save the other because of Walter White’s enemies?
All we know is that we want it to happen!
