When a new reboot or sequel comes out, fans are usually understandably skeptical that the new movie will match the greatness of the original. But when it comes to the new Halloween movie, we may have nothing to worry about.
A new Halloween movie is currently in the works that’s set to release this October. And if you take actress Jamie Lee Curtis’ word, things are going great!
Curtis posted on Instagram to tell her fans that the new movie is almost done filming. She also said this new Halloween is “terrifying.”
Here’s her full quote:
“Wrapping things up here in Haddonfield. Three generations of strong, striped, Strode women. These two @missjudygreer @andimatichak brought it ALL to their work on this terrifying revisit of @halloweenmovie.”
The new Halloween movie is being made by Blumhouse, the studio behind Get Out, Insidious and basically every great horror movie of the last eight years. The movie was written by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, who are best known as the minds behind Eastbound and Down and Vice Principals. Although not much is known about the new movie, we do know that it will ignore all of the sequels made after Halloween 2 and that Jamie Lee Curtis is reprising her role as Laurie Strode from the first two movies.
So, yeah. This looks like it’s going to be pretty awesome.
