James Bond and an Aston Martin go together like peanut butter and jelly. And now you too can add a 007 Aston Martin to your life.
Bond’s 1965 Aston Martin DB5 that was featured in Goldeneye is going up for auction. While this particular DB5 was only in Goldeneye, the DB5 model has appeared in six other 007 movies spanning several different Bond actors.
Prior to this auction, the DB5 was held in Britain’s National Motor Museum and London’s Bond In Motion exhibition. Bonhams, the company auctioning off the Aston Martin, estimate that it will sell for between $1.6 million to $2.1 million. A DB5 that was used in Goldfinger and Thunderball was auctioned off in 2010 for $4.6 million.
While the car doesn’t feature any MI6 gadgets in it, it does contain a 4.0-liter inline-six engine rated for 282 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. So you’ll definitely be well-equipped if you find yourself in a classic James Bond high speed chase.
