Yesterday, new came out that It: Chapter Two will begin filming this July. And now we know who may be the stars of the sequel.
Media reports have come out about the potential cast for the upcoming It sequel. The second movie will take place about 20 years after the events of the original It and will feature adult versions of the “Losers Club.” It’s already confirmed that Jessica Chastain, best known for her role in Zero Dark Thirty, will play the adult version of Barb, the redheaded girl who’s the lone female in the group.
Two other actors are rumored to be in negotiations to be in the sequel. James McAvoy, who recently starred in another horror movie, Split, is considering playing Bill, the main protagonist of the first movie whose brother Georgie is kidnapped by Pennywise at the beginning of the film. In addition to McAvoy, SNL alum Bill Hader is considering playing Richie, the smartmouth group member played by Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard in the first movie.
It’s also believed that the child actors from the first movie will reprise their roles in the sequel as well, but the main focus will be on the adult versions of the characters taking on Pennywise one last time.
No matter who ends up in the cast, we can’t wait to get our pants scared off again!
