It’s pretty common to find unusual items when items belonging to a famous celebrity go up for auction. But a new auction of Frank Sinatra memorabilia may contain some of the weirdest stuff yet.
Heritage Auctions is offering up tons of items belonging to the late singer, including clothing, sunglasses and even a custom-made jumpsuit. But perhaps the weirdest item they have available is some of Frank Sinatra’s hair.
Yes, that’s right. His hair.
The hair is supposedly a small handful taken after Sinatra received a haircut at age 78, about four years before his death. Heritage expects the hair to auction off for around $30,000.
The auction features another unusual item in the form of a Vicodin pill bottle prescribed to Sinatra a few weeks before his death in 1998. A staff member at Heritage noted that the item is definitely “sad” because it shows Sinatra was living in pain prior to his death, but there’s also a lot of people out there that collect celebrity prescription bottles.
On the bright side, at least it’s not another medication that begins with the letter “V.”
