Before Bruce Springsteen was “The Boss,” he was just a rebellious teenager living in New Jersey. And a new piece of Springsteen memorabilia up for auction gives some insight into who that teenager truly was.
A yearbook signed by Bruce Springsteen is up for auction. The yearbook is from Freehold Regional High School in New Jersey from the year 1967. It apparently belonged to Angela Federico, who was apparently a friend of Springsteen’s. Here’s what he wrote to his friend in her yearbook:
“Angela, best of luck in the coming years and always remember Mr. Hussey’s English class. Have fun this summer, Bruce.”
So not the most tantalizing message in the world. He didn’t profess his love for Angela or write some amazing inspiration message, but it gives a glimpse into what Bruce was like back then.
