Parks and Recreation only went off-air three years ago, but that can feel like a lifetime to fans of the hit NBC comedy. But those fans may be in luck, if Amy Poehler has anything to do about it.
Poehler and her Parks and Rec co-star Nick Offerman went on Ellen to discuss their new show, Making It, a craft DIY reality show. Obviously, the topic of Poehler and Offerman’s old show came up for discussion, and Poehler said we may see more of Pawnee, Indiana in the future.
“Absolutely,” Poehler said when asked if there was interest in bringing back Parks and Rec. “I know, I’ll speak for everybody and say we would all do it. I think we’d all do it someday. It would be amazing.”
Offerman then said, “Amy’s the boss of the show, so she can speak for everybody.”
Nearly every NBC hit comedy’s been rumored to be up for revival after the success Will & Grace‘s comeback. The Office, 30 Rock and others have all seen rumors, but Parks and Rec is the most interesting because a lot of the rumors are coming from the show’s actual cast.
Here’s the full clip from Ellen:
Of course, it may be a little hard to get the entire cast back together for the show. Chris Pratt has become a bona fide A-list star since the show ended, after getting cast in Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy. And even Aubrey Plaza and Aziz Ansari are involved in their own shows and movies since then.
But even if we only got a couple of episodes, we think it would be worth it.
