Meet the Team
Mr. Dash co-founded Prima Management in 1986, where in his capacity as CEO he directed daily operations of the company, and management of the industry's top models. Prima Management became a powerhouse in the model management business and spawned the formation of Studio 7070, NYLA Productions and Profile Management, which in 1995 were sold to a public entity.
In 1996 he formed The Dash Group Inc. a Los Angeles based management, branding and endorsement company with investments in publishing, spirits, photo production and syndication.
In 2006 he expanded the company with the launch of DR Photo Management. The roster included some of the biggest names in the photographic industry, and counted Sony, Mercedes Benz, Universal Studios, Fox Filmed Entertainment, Conde Nast Publishing, and Warner Bros as clients.
Mr. Dash currently resides in Los Angeles.
In addition to his role at Screenbid, Matthew advises fashion brands that include John Varvatos, All Saints, Buscemi, Paige and serves as a board member of Jewel Inc. which was founded by 5x Grammy nominee, Jewel Kilcher.
From 2011-2016, Matthew served as President of Playboy Licensing and Chief Revenue Officer of Playboy Enterprises, Matthew partnered with Rizvi Traverse Management to transform the media empire into a profitable brand management platform. Under his leadership, royalty revenues more than doubled and retail revenues exceeded $1.5B annually earning Playboy a ``Top 50`` ranking among global licensors. The growth of the brand in China, where Matthew lived for a period of his tenure, cemented Playboy as a “Top 3” licensed brand in the mainland with retail revenues exceeding $750M USD across 4000 stores.
In 2001, Matthew launched his career in technology where he held leadership positions at Sun Microsystems (sold to Oracle) and Silicon Valley based start-up Greenplum, which sold to EMC for $400M in 2010. He has served on the advisory board of venture capital firm BoldStart Ventures since 2012, where he assists engineering oriented Founders/CEOs in building revenue models for their start-ups.
Nordby currently resides with his family in Incline Village, NV.
In 2000 he joined IBM out of college as a Programmer and IT Architect focused on the Websphere and Java platforms. He has been a part of several IT implementations at many fortune 500 companies including Boeing, Verizon, Sprint and American Century. In 2010, Chris left IBM to create Contra Software and the Studio Fusion software suite.
Chris is also the owner of the fashion company Trend. He currently resides in Kansas City.
